Privacy Policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

LHS Bowling provides Louisville bowling schedules, scores and statistics, with staff tools for managing teams and recording results. Viewing public information does not require an account. Google access is optional and is used when an authorized staff member chooses to create a recap in their own Google Drive.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the LHS Bowling website and its optional Google Sheets export. Merlin TechWorks provides the site software. Authorized school staff manage team information, staff invitations and publication of match information.

Team information and staff accounts

School staff enter information such as bowler names, jersey numbers, team membership, schedules, opponents, venues, scores, frame assignments, substitutions and coaching records. The site calculates statistics from recorded results. Information published through the staff workflow can be viewed by visitors and included in reports. Drafts and staff-only records are restricted by account permissions; practice statistics appear separately according to the site's supported visibility settings.

Staff accounts use an email address, authentication information and assigned roles or teams. Supabase provides database and account services. Google export permission is separate from a bowling staff account, and the site does not ask for or receive a Google password.

Do not enter sensitive personal information into bowler names, notes or other team fields. A parent, guardian or bowler can ask school staff to review information about them using the contact below.

What the Google export accesses

When you choose Google Sheets recap, Google asks you to select an account and grant permissions. The current connection requests:

The export reads the selected folder's name, identifier and ability to accept files. It reads the new report's layout and totals to check the export. It does not request permission to search metadata across your Drive.

Your destination folder's identifier and name, together with a Google account identifier, are remembered in this browser for your coach login, school and current-year export label. Choose Change folder for this export to select a different destination. An inaccessible folder must be selected again or replaced.

Your chosen match's roster, jersey numbers, recorded scores and frame details are sent to Google to populate the new recap. Each export creates a separate copy. Missing recorded detail may remain blank. Generated files follow your Google Drive and organization sharing settings; this export does not automatically make them public or email them to anyone.

How Google data is used, stored and shared

The site's export code sends requests directly from your browser to Google Drive and Google Sheets. It holds the short-lived Google access token in browser memory for the export; it does not save that token in the site's local storage or database, or obtain a long-lived Google refresh token. Browser memory may retain temporary values until the page is closed or reloaded. Google stores the destination folder and generated report under its own services and policies.

LHS Bowling uses Google data to carry out the export you request. It does not use Google data for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence models. Site staff do not routinely receive access to your Drive through this connection. If you request troubleshooting, share only the specific report or information you want support to inspect.

LHS Bowling's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Device storage and service providers

The site uses browser storage to remember team and season choices, staff sign-in sessions, report preferences and recoverable score-entry drafts. Its service worker caches site files for loading and offline access; information already viewed can remain in a device's cache. Use trusted devices for staff work, sign out on shared devices, and clear site data when appropriate. Clearing site data can remove unsaved drafts and preferences.

Vercel serves the website and calendar endpoint, Supabase processes team records and staff authentication, and Google provides optional exports, file selection and web fonts. Network requests can disclose an IP address, browser information and request details to the provider handling that request. Service providers may keep operational or security logs according to their settings and policies. The site does not include advertising or third-party audience analytics.

Your choices, retention and deletion

You can use public scores without connecting Google, decline an export permission request, or choose an available Excel or image export instead. To revoke Google access, visit Google Account connections and remove the LHS Bowling connection. Revoking access prevents further authorized use through that grant; it does not delete existing reports. You can delete your own recap copies and folders in Drive, subject to your organization's rules.

Team records and historical results remain until authorized staff correct or remove them under the team's recordkeeping practices. Staff access can be removed separately from historical match records. For a correction, account removal or deletion request, contact the site support below and identify the relevant team or record; do not send passwords or access tokens. Backups and provider logs may persist beyond deletion from active records. No fixed deletion deadline is promised by this policy.

Removing a coach's bowling-site access does not remove reports already created or shared through Google Drive. School staff and report owners manage those separate Drive permissions.

Contact and updates

For privacy questions, corrections, account or deletion requests, and Google export support, email Merlin TechWorks at merlintechworks@gmail.com. Include the relevant team, match or record so we can route your request to authorized school staff. Do not send passwords or access tokens.

Material changes will be reflected in this policy's updated date. If Google data use changes, the site will update its disclosures and request any additional permission required before using that data in a new way.
